Our home is listed for sale!

Listing your home is one of the most stressful events in a family's life!  We love our home but it's time to move on.  We listed the house just before we left on vacation, which was great because we didn't have to straighten things up every morning before leaving the house!

Check out the listing at:

Being a Realtor makes you a little neurotic when you are selling your own home. You know what you would look for, so you are constantly trying to make sure everything is perfect.  We have a really great home and I'm sure there is a perfect buyer out there for it. Let us know if you have anyone looking in the West Chester/Willistown area that might be interested in a 3 BR Townhouse.

On The Road Again...

Kylie Wilkins & Mom, Barbara
After a restful night at the Walmart in Ashland, VA I got my first driving lesson in the RV.  I did very well and got a "bravo zulu" (translate atta-girl) from Geoff. For those of you who don't know, most Walmarts permit RVers to park overnight while in transit, saving a lot of time and money getting from point A to point B.  We have become fans of Walmart and their hospitality. We almost escaped the parking lot without Girl Scout Cookies, but alas it was not to be. Kylie and her Mom waved us over to the curb and made sure the Cookie Monster was supplied for the trip home.

Laura with Bill & Gay Pinschmidt
As we continued North we stopped in Fredericksburg, VA for a Stabucks and decided to check in on my old friend and professor, Dr. Pinschmidt.  Having been an RVer himself "back in the day," I knew he would enjoy seeing our new home. Not only did did we get to see him, but we also got to meet his lovely wife, Gay.  What a treat!  We shared a few stories, took a few pictures and got back on the road. Wish we had time to visit all of our friends in Fredericksburg but we will catch up with the rest of you on future trips!

We will  be home soon and back to work. Thanks for sharing our adventures with us. Let us know what you are up to.

Welcome to my Blog!

It's an itty-bitty blog!
I'm sure that Chris won't mind me borrowing this photo from her Blog, Geeks On Tour. I attended her session this week at the FMCA (Family Motor Coach Assn.) and created a Blog on my iPhone, right in the class! Great session, and one of the items on my list to check out this week at the Southern Homecoming Reunion in Perry, Georgia.

Geoff is in his element
What a great time we had meeting new friends, exploring the world of RVing and learning more about how to operate and maintain our Newmar Mountain Aire. My husband, Geoff, concentrated on the coach and I focused on technology.  I learned quickly that I can't rely on the WiFi network to be in communication for business.  After a week of frustration trying to e-mail attachments, contracts (yes I was on vacation, but...) I attended two seminars, one by Geeks On Tour and another by Phil May, TechnoRV. Both a wealth of information. The outcome was a purchase of Verizon Wireless Broadband WiFi2000 Hotspot, which allows 5 connections at a time in the RV. I have been working since we left Perry and so far we are approaching Florence SC and I haven't lost the signal once! Those of you who know me know that when my technology works everyone around me is happier. At Phil's suggestion I also acquired a WiFi Booster for those times that WiFi is available and Verizon isn't!

"Wake me up when we get there!"
Yoshi has also adapted well to life on the road and is quickly becoming a Canine Road Warrior. We will all be back in West Chester next week to begin our preparations in earnest for life on the road beginning in August. If you want to keep up with our adventure please feel free to subscribe to this blog. (I will be discontinuing my previous blog as this is more flexible and easier.)
That's it for now.   We're "northbound and down."
