Brandywine Creek Campground - Love it!

We have settled in at Brandywine Creek Campground in Downingtown, PA. What a great holiday weekend... great weather, new faces, chilling out by the campfire. Well not exactly, it was a little warm for a campfire but it sounded good.  We have an excellent site and a great view of the creek and the pond. Now that the weekenders have left it feels like we have the place to ourselves.

Geoff & Donnie...Boys will be boys!
Sarah and Donnie dropped by to check out the site.  We have a lot left to do at the house before settlement, but it's really tempting to just move into the Motorhome and vegitate!  We have a bit of furniture left to "re-purpose" currently on Craigs List and hoping for buyers. Geoff's working a lot until the middle of June and I have quite a few clients, so June promises to be a very busy month... it's all good!

We hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

SOLD!

OMG, We're really doing this! The house is sold and we're moving the Motorhome up to Brandywine Creek Campground next week.  We settle on the house on June 24th and will be at BCC until August 1st when we launch for real!  It's really getting exciting.  Last Saturday we had a Community Yard Sale and it was very successful. We have a few pieces left to post to Craigs List, but the vast majority of our stuff is gone or spoken for.  This has been such an incredible process of dealing with just how much "stuff" we acquire and retain, and how little of it we really need. The rule of thumb is...if it doesn't fit in the RV it goes out. If we need it we will buy it. When it's done inside a larger commitment it's really empowering.

Our phones and e-mails will not change, only our mailing address.  We have set up a forwarding service that will receive our mail, throw out the junk, and send us the rest as and when we direct them.  I've always wanted to find a way to get rid of the junk mail!

There's a lot to do before we leave, but we are on schedule and enjoying the ride. I hope you will come along the  process. We hope you will join us on our adventure and let us know you are there from time to time.

Is Spring Finally Here?

Spring has finally arrived and the Royal Wedding is a "fait accompli." The British Officers Club of Philadelphia hosted a fabulous Wedding Breakfast at 5:00 AM on Friday at the Merion Cricket Club. Hats and "Fascinators" were everywhere! Well done to all those who had a role in the event, especially the talented John Warlow, who had the idea and the technology to pull it off!

I attended with Cherryl Graham, fellow member of The Welcome Chapter, Daughters of the British Empire, and her twin daughters, Sara and Rachel Graham.  As we left we were treated to the Cricket Match in progress on the club's pitch. Philadelphia is a great place to be in the spring!

And finally, The Smiley's were in town from Florida for their "Philly fix."  We were able to arrange a get together and I finally met Max! Max is now 21 months old and a hopeless flirt. He is exhibiting a strong attraction to technology (my purple Mac) and appears to be following in his father's footsteps! Great to see you Liz, Eugene & Max!

Until next time... Enjoy!
